Mystic Pictures

Mystic Pictures was formed by Bud Robertson and Beth Conwell to produce feature films and educational projects that broaden the mind and uplift the spirit.  The company’s Life in the Spotlight educational series, which currently includes two DVD volumes, was created to help prepare aspiring child actors and their parents for an entertainment career.  Other educational projects in development include 5-Minute Science and What Scientists Actually Do.  Feature film projects in development range from dramas to family adventures.

Bud Robertson

Bud Robertson is a Production and Development Executive with a degree in motion picture production from UCLA and a 20-year professional resume that includes extensive credits in the feature film, television and corporate communication arenas. In addition to serving as president of Mystic Pictures, he also serves as head of production for STV Networks, a vertically-integrated Asian media company. Mr. Robertson supervised production of the English language re-edit of STV's debut feature film - Jackie Chan's The Myth, which was released in North America through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Mr. Robertson's feature film production experience includes key positions on dozens of projects. He wrote and produced the ghost thriller Spectres, served as First Assistant Director on numerous films for independent producers and studios like Lionsgate and Nu Image, and supervised post production activities for Noble Entertainment Group.

In the television arena, Mr. Robertson has been involved with both weekly series and made-for-television movies. He coordinated the ABC series Ellen and the CBS series Temporarily Yours and was First Assistant Director on the critically acclaimed AMC Network series The Lot. He also developed Til Lies Do Us Part and The Love of Her Life as premiere movies for Lifetime Television. The Great Year, a speculative documentary he produced, won a Cine Golden Eagle award and was broadcast on PBS as a one-hour science special.

Mr. Robertson also served for 7 years as a producer at GOAL Productions, where he produced and/or directed more than 50 DVD documentaries released by major distributors like Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, New Line and First Look. He also produced and/or directed countless industrial projects for corporate clients like the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, The Boeing Company, The Motion Picture Association of America and the American Humane Association.
